Classes wrapped up in Rome with a new photo assignment, which will be due in Venice, and the students prepared for the journey north. On Tuesday morning, we jumped on a bus to the train station, had our last Roman cappuccinos at Termini, and boarded the 11:50AM high speed train to Venice. The view from the train of the island city had all of the students whipping out cameras and phones for photos of the laguna as we landed in Venice just before 4PM. After a boat ride down the Grand/Giudecca Canals, the students arrived at the Don Orione - their home for the next few weeks. Students had an hour or two to refresh and unpack before the group dinner at Aioche (a fabulous pizzeria).
